Full Membership Criteria
Membership is for individuals, not corporations. Admission is through the Membership Committee. The core criteria for a Full Member are:
Primary Professional Activity
The individual's primary professional activity must be as a practicing hospitality asset manager.
Income Source
Primary income must be generated from the provision of hospitality asset management services.
Experience
A minimum of two years of experience in the practice of asset management is required.
Fiduciary Role
Members must work on behalf of ownership groups, with direct responsibility for:

Reviewing and approving annual budgets for each hotel.

Making capital expenditure (CapEx) decisions.

Holding fiduciary responsibility and decision-making authority.
Exclusions
Individuals whose primary role is with lenders or hotel operators are generally not eligible for Full Membership.
Associate Membership
The Associate Membership category is designed to foster growth and development by encouraging existing Full Members to nominate or introduce junior colleagues or peers in their organization or network. This initiative aims to build a strong foundation for the future of the profession in the region.
How to apply
Request Application
Prospective members must request an application by emailing the HAMA APAC administration – contact us form.
Sponsorship
A written application must include a email/letter from a Sponsor who is an active HAMA member acquainted with the individual’s work and reputation.
Submission
The complete application, including a resume and a list of hotels under the applicant's specific asset management responsibility, is submitted for review by the Membership Committee.
